Postdoctoral Research Positions

AUG 2016 

Brain engineering research center at IPM/Tehran is accepting applications for 3-year postdoctoral research fellows starting September 2016. The lab is broadly interested in vision and neural engineering with a specific focus on electrophysiological studies on primate vision, computational neuroscience and visual prosthesis. The candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience, electronic engineering, biomedical engineering, computer engineering or related field and will be involved in a collaboration with the State University of New York, College of Optometry.


Ph.D Research Opportunities

AUG 2016 

Brain engineering research center is providing an excellent opportunity for Ph.D students who are interested in systems/cognitive neuroscience for performing his/her research dissertations at IPM. The candidates should be a Ph.D student in neuroscience, electronic and computer engineering or basic science such as mathematics.

Mission of Our Research Center

The long-term goal of our research center focuses on the following advanced research fields:

  - Brain Mapping of Non-human primates
  - Brain Computer Interfaces
  - Development of Neural prosthetics

The IPM Brain Engineering Research Center is a part of the Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences and is supervised by the deputy for research, IPM. Our research center has tight collaborations with distinguished and outstanding scientists outside the country as well as scientists at the School of Electrical Engineering, the School of Mathematics, the School of Physics, and the School of Computer Science outside the IPM.

We are looking for interested scientists, postgraduate and graduate students with a strong background in computational science, mathematics and electronic engineering. An interest in neuroscience is desired.
